A lot of the lumber that we use is “tree-cycled”, a sadly fact most people don’t know is that most of our felled trees make it to the landfill. Especially in the city of Richmond. Back in the 1950’s the city of Richmond had a Lumber mill, but now the city no-longer purposes fallen trees. It’s apparently more cost effective to throw them out, therefore I like to make awards and signage from pallets. Lowe’s throws them in the trash, we salvage them and give them purpose.
